what to expect
At Ryker’s Ridge, we want you to “come as you are”. If that means that you would prefer to wear casual clothes, wear casual clothes. If you would prefer to wear more formal clothes, that is fine too. You will see a variety of styles of clothing at our gatherings. We also welcome your children! Indeed, we love families, and we would be delighted to have your family join us! We have a vibrant and growing community of young families at our church. As a result, we offer childcare during the worship service; we provide nursery services for children under 2 years of age and Extended Session for children ages 2 to 4 years.
We seek to provide a clean and safe environment for our children. We care so much, that RRBC has implemented a Child Protection Policy that is strictly adhered to. We have a fantastic group of leaders who are equipped to care for your children. Prior to the worship service and during Sunday School hours, there are classes and Bible studies available for your children (newborn-5th grade) and students (6th-12th grades). Our worship services are intended to challenge those involved to submit their minds, their hearts, and their wills to King Jesus. Indeed, we hope that you will leave each worship service with a greater knowledge of God and His Word, a greater love for Him, and thus, a greater resolve to live for Him. The worship service consists of bible reading, prayer, singing, and the faithful preaching of God's word. Our worship team uses a large variety of instruments to lead in musical worship that draws from both traditional and contemporary tastes. Our hope is that by introducing people to gospel-centered songs and biblically-driven preaching, they will give praise and glory to God. We believe you will be challenged in your thinking, and that your affections will be moved in such a way that you grow, in heart and mind, in your love for the Lord. The sermon will be an expository message that helps explain and apply the Word of God to life. Indeed, you will be encouraged, challenged, and strengthened in your walk with God. We hope to see you, and we long to see all who would come to grow in Christ-likeness that they may become more faithful disciples of him!
vision & purpose
As Rykers Ridge Baptist Church, our mission is glorifying God by making disciples of Jesus Christ. By God’s grace, we seek to be a loving and committed community of Christians who confess and submit to Jesus Christ as Lord. In obedience to Scripture we organize under a qualified leadership of pastors and deacons, gather regularly as an assembly for preaching and worship, observe the biblical ordinances of baptism and communion, are unified, gifted, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, covenant together, and practice church discipline, and scatter to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission as missionaries to our neighbors and to the entire world, proclaiming and applying the gospel to both believers and unbelievers, making disciple-making disciples of all people for God’s glory and their joy.
